Drawing inspiration from John Broderick’s The Pilgrimage, participants of this workshop will explore the themes of scandal and secrecy.

The workshop will run from 3-5pm at the Aidan Heavey Library.

This is an opportunity to reflect upon the richness of John Broderick’s work and to begin using creative writing exercises to reflect upon and reimagine the landscape of our own lives and communities.

The John Broderick Writer in Residence is located at the Aidan Heavey Library in Athlone. It is funded through a bequest from the will of the Irish novelist John Broderick (1924-1989), and is administered by the Arts Council and Westmeath Arts Offce. Previous awardees of the residency include the poets Annemarie Ní Churreain and Martin Dyar.
